Benfield Sports College: Facilities

We are extremely lucky to have such excellent facilities at Benfield School. Our Benfield Centre for Sporting Excellence was opened in 2001 by former pupil Lee Clark. The Centre comprises of a 6 court multi-use Sportshall, a club/conference room and a Gymnastics High Performance Centre. We have excellent partnerships with two local organisations; the Northumberland Badminton Association and the City of Newcastle Gymnastics Association, both of whom have licences/leases to use the facility outside of school or community hours.

The School also has a Dance Studio and smaller Sportshall as well as our recentley refurbished Swimming Pool. We have a floodlit astroturf and acres of playing fields at our disposal.

BENFIELD FITNESS SUITE

Benfield fitness suite is a great facility located at the Benfield Centre for Sporting Excellence. Our equipment is excellent, ranging from an extensive collection cardiovascular equipment including treadmills, cross trainers, and concept II rowers to our new performance area which includes kettlebells, stability balls, power bags, and elastics. We have everything you will need to get in shape whatever your goals. The staff at the fitness suite are friendly, experienced, and well qualified in all areas of fitness and conditioning. This ensures that our members will get the most from their workouts, helping them achieve results in the most efficient and effective way.

Exercise classes

As well as the great equipment available in the Fitness Suite we also have great selection of classes available including Boxercise, Yoga, Aqua circuits, and Swimming sessions. Classes are free to members of the fitness suite and offer a great alternative to regular gym workouts.

Where to find us

The gym is located at Benfield Centre for Sporting Excellence and offers plenty of parking for gym users travelling to the gym by car. There are also good public transport links available which makes the gym highly accessible.

At Benfield we offer a free week membership with every enquiry into the fitness suite. This will allow you to get to grips with the equipment and enjoy what the fitness suite has to offer.

Memberships at Benfield Fitness Suite are of great value, a single membership for 12 months is just £200 and joint, concessionary and 6 months memberships are also available.
